LG and Hisense brought their own AI engines to CES 2026. Google TV updated with Gemini AI for voice commands and content discovery. Everyone’s doing it. Nobody’s sitting this one out.
For gamers, the specs are getting ridiculous in the best way. 4K at 144Hz for PC gaming. 240Hz available through settings for supported titles. AI Motion Enhancer Pro handles blur in fast scenes. Samsung Gaming Hub removes the need for a physical console entirely.
Then there’s the platform side. Samsung TV Plus now offers over 2,700 streaming options and 750-plus free channels. One UI Tizen OS is getting seven years of updates. That’s longer than most people keep a phone. The longevity argument for premium TVs just got a lot stronger. Manufacturers are also aligning with the Matter standard adoption trend, which promises better interoperability between TVs and the broader ecosystem of connected devices in the home. LG’s Hyper Radiant Color Technology claims luminance levels 3.9 times brighter than conventional OLEDs, which means even well-lit rooms are no longer the enemy of a great picture. Samsung’s new Mini LED lineup integrates with over 340 smart home brands through SmartThings, turning the TV into a central hub for controlling your entire connected home.
